Best Chicken Alfredo Pizza

Set aside the takeaway menu and start preparing delicious pizza in the kitchen! I enjoy preparing pizza just as much as I enjoy eating it, and I have a soft spot for recipes that require the least amount of work and yield the most happiness. This chicken alfredo pizza is incredibly delicious and requires very little ingredients!

Ingredients:

  1. 2 pounds pizza dough (homemade or storebought), fully risen, shaped into 2 balls
  2. 1/2 cup Alfredo sauce (homemade or storebought)
  3. 6 ounces (180g) uncooked boneless, skinless chicken breast
  4. 1 teaspoon salt
  5. 1 teaspoon black pepper
  6. 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  7. 2 cups (240g) grated mozzarella cheese
  8. 1/2 cup (25g) grated parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
  9. 4 tablespoons semolina flour or cornmeal
  10. 1/2 medium red onion, thinly sliced into half-moons (optional)
  11. Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

Step:NO:01

Preheat the oven: Place a pizza stone or upside-down rimmed baking sheet inside the oven and preheat it to 475°F.

Step:NO:02

Cook the chicken by adding salt and pepper to taste. Put one tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken and cook, covered, for about 5 minutes on each side, or until it is brown and an instant-read thermometer placed in the thickest portion reads 165°F.
Allow it rest for five minutes, then chop into cubes and store.

Step:NO:03

Form the dough by sprinkling flour on the surface and your hands. Using your hands, flatten the dough, one ball at a time. Using your fingertips, spread the dough starting in the center and moving outward. Continue rotating the dough until it is evenly stretched into a circle with a diameter of about 10 to 12 inches.

Step:NO:04

Spread the prepared, flattened dough onto a pizza peel by lightly dusting it with semolina and transferring it to the peel. Take a minute to reshape the dough if it becomes less pliable during the transfer.

Step:NO:05

Add the Alfredo sauce: Using the back of a spoon, evenly distribute half of the sauce over the dough.

Step:NO:06

Incorporate the cheese, onions, and chicken.
If using, place sliced red onions and half of the chicken on top of the pizza. Next, sprinkle half of the Parmesan and mozzarella cheese on top.

Step:NO:07

To bake the pizza, gently slide or shake it off its peel onto a pizza stone or sheet pan. Bake it for ten to fifteen minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and melting and the sides are brown.
While the first pizza bakes, shape and top the second one.

Step:NO:08

Garnish and serve: After taking the pizza out of the oven, sprinkle some extra Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley on top, if desired.
For up to three days, keep the leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container. If you are desiring a slice, reheat it in a pan with a lid on over low heat. This guarantees melting cheese and a crispy bottom.
