Easy creamy garlic chinken

Occasionally, you stumble upon a recipe that simply takes your breath away. I'm going to introduce you to one of those recipes today. For a quick weekday dinner, this Creamy Garlic Chicken is incredibly tasty, delicious, and simple to prepare! The dish begins with soft, pan-seared chicken breasts that are topped with a smooth, garlicky sauce. My family fell in love with this meal the moment they tasted it! To be honest, it left everyone speechless. Make sure to add this dish to your weekly rotation if you want flavorful, easy foods that are created with a luxurious cream sauce!

Ingredients:

  1. 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.3 lbs. total) ($6.49)
  2. 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning ($0.05)
  3. 1/2 tsp salt ($0.02)
  4. 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper ($0.02)
  5. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour ($0.06)
  6. 2 Tbsp olive oil ($0.32)
  7. 2 Tbsp butter, divided ($0.27)
  8. 1 whole garlic bulb (about 8-9 garlic cloves) ($0.64)
  9. 1 cup chicken broth ($0.17)
  10. 3/4 cup heavy cream ($1.08)
  11. 1/2 tsp garlic powder ($0.05)
  12. Salt and Pepper to taste ($0.04)

Instructions:

Step:No:01

Gently fillet each chicken breast into two thinner cutlets with a sharp knife (or use thin-cut chicken breasts).

Step:No:02

Add salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning to each breast. Next, coat the chicken breasts equally by sprinkling flour on both sides and rubbing it in.

Step:No:03

Put the olive oil and one tablespoon of butter into a big skillet and heat it over medium heat. When the skillet is heated, add the chicken and cook for about 4 minutes on each side, or until it is cooked through and golden brown. After cooking, transfer the chicken to a fresh platter and cover it to stay warm.

Step:No:04

Peel and gently mash the garlic cloves with the side of a large chef's knife, using the heel of your hand to push down on the cloves while the chicken cooks.

Step:No:05

After removing the chicken, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and the garlic cloves to the same skillet. Reduce the heat to medium-low and sauté the garlic for three minutes, or until fragrant and lightly browned. To keep the garlic from burning, be careful to stir it often.

Step:No:06

The heavy cream and chicken stock should then be added to the skillet, along with the garlic powder. Stir, making sure to scrape off any brown pieces from the skillet's bottom. Simmer the sauce in the skillet for 8 to 10 minutes, or until it has thickened and reduced by roughly half. At this stage, taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper (I used around ⅛ tsp of salt and ⅛ tsp of black pepper).

Step:No:07

Lastly, put the cooked chicken breasts back in the skillet and cover them with a spoonful of the creamy sauce. Let the chicken finish cooking. Enjoy the optional addition of freshly chopped parsley to the dish!
