breakfast ideas with egg pizza

Breakfast sandwich, get over here. This pizza is similar to you, but much more intense! This will add a special touch to any weekend morning family breakfast, since it is made using no-knead dough and topped with eggs, bacon, and cheddar cheese.

Ingredients:

  1. Vegetable oil or spray, for the baking sheet
  2. 1 tablespoon corn meal, for the baking sheet
  3. 1/2 recipe of No-Knead Pizza Dough left to rise overnight or 1 pound store-bought pizza dough
  4. 6 slices (about 6 ounces) bacon, cut into thirds
  5. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  6. 3-4 golf-ball size tomatoes, sliced (optional)
  7. 2 1/2 cups (6 ounces) loosely packed grated cheddar cheese
  8. 4 large eggs
  9. 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil, parsley, or oregano (for garnish)

Instructionts:

Step:No:01

Set up the baking sheet and preheat the oven:
Set oven temperature to 450°F. Grease a baking sheet or use vegetable oil spray. Add a small amount of corn meal.

Step:No:02

After flattening the dough, set it aside:
Dust a work area. With your hands, flatten the ball of pizza dough into a circle that is about an inch thick and place it on top. To help spread it out, give it a few dimples with your fingers and cover it with a dishtowel.
Allow it to rest so the gluten may relax and form more easily while you fry the bacon. If the dough is very slack (wet), you might wish to knead in one or two teaspoons of flour when using no-knead dough.

Step:No:03

Cook the bacon: Cook the bacon for 4 to 5 minutes, or until most of the fat has rendered and it is beginning to turn brown but is not quite crisp, in a large skillet over medium heat. Place it on a platter covered with paper towels and keep it there.

Step:No:04

Form the dough: Using your hands or a rolling pin, roll the dough into a big oval roughly the size of your baking sheet, then place it on the sheet. It should be a huge oval that takes up most of the space on the baking sheet, not square, and it doesn't have to fit into the corners or touch the pan's edges.

Step:No:05

To add toppings to pizza dough, use a pastry brush to lightly coat the dough with olive oil. Use a coffee cup to make four 3 to 4-inch slots for the eggs before adding the toppings. Pizza toppings should be left empty in the spots you designated for the eggs. Cover the remaining portion of the pizza with the tomatoes, bacon, and cheese, leaving part of the bacon and tomatoes exposed.

Step:No:06

Cook the pizza for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the dough is set and beginning to color on the edges, in part. Take out of the oven the pan.

Step:No:07

To complete baking, add the eggs and put the pizza back in the oven:
One egg should be cracked into a cup or small bowl and then carefully put onto the pizza, resting it over one of the uncovered areas. Proceed with the leftover eggs.

Step:No:08

To serve, slice the pizza into pieces and sprinkle with herbs. While heated, serve.

Put the pan back in the oven and bake it for a further seven to eight minutes, or until the egg
